After work ride report

After work, Colin and I met at PJ's Triumph/Ducati motorcycle dealership, where they tried to lock us in and make us buy new sportbikes before they closed. We didn't fall for that old trick. But when they told… Continue

Getting away with shit

The down side of being a middle-aged, white female is that you are invisible. Clerks step on your foot on their way to help younger customers. Nobody suspects or accuses you of doing anything exciting or illicit. You become your own mom. So I let it work for me. When you're stereotype… Continue

Bikin' in the North Valley (or "Jill, the pathetic loser")

My significant others left Thursday morning, driving to Pittsburgh. A few hours later I am damsel in distress who can't handle simple mechanical issues with my motorcycle, right before a weekend plan to ride to Carrizozo. There is a reason why I never learn - because there is always a, uh, knight arou… Continue

Thanks for pointing out to Rocco that there's already a DCF Mastermind Group. Hope to see you at the next meeting!

Hi Jill - I can't recall if I know you from somewhere...can you remind me? Also, I haven't laid brick - are you looking for someone to do it alone, or is this a project you will be helping out with? I do have a friend who is a bricklayer - I could certainly pass your info along. I do not know Holly - I will look for her the next time I am at the market...which may not be for a couple weeks...

hi! your comment was so nice! thanks. The leaves and flowers are a picture I had taken and saved.

I just poked around in 'settings' and tried to figure out how I had done that, but to be honest, I can't remember. You can add a picture from the page where you select your page layout.

Sorry I'm not being very helpful. If I figure it out again, I'll let you know. (I'm the worst with computers...)

Nope, mine isn't under warranty! Which sucks! Oh well...

Have fun tomorrow with the DCFers! How cool! (Deep down I am so jealous that I can't go!!)

As for your son - woah! I can imagine you aren't very happy about that! Sorry it happened.

And yes, please save me the magazine or atleast the part with the review! That would be cool to read. Was it a good review at least???

RYN: that is true and I hope that this has and will teach him a lesson! Oh well...my dwelling in guilt isn't going to help me any, right!? And yes, he put us all at risk. Everything happens for a reason (or I believe) and perhaps him getting caught helped him and us escape a much larger devistation!

Onto better news...so what's new with you?

RYN (regarding your note): I should check to see if I can get email notifications! I'll check that now. As for the bike - no idea. Carl is going to take it in tonight. He checked the fuel filter and such and found that they were in good shape. So it's the carbs. It would be nice if I got a loaner bike!! :)
As for the guilt - I know that it isn't my fault he got caught. And we all had to take the breath test. Looking back at it, I realize now that Ted doesn't know when to just have ONE or NONE or when to stop drinking. But deep down, I still feel the guilt. I just hope they can get the case resolved in a manner that helps him but doesn't hurt him either.
I miss riding!! So you'll have to post more riding adventures so that I can live vicariously through you for a while. :)

Hey Jill! Wow, you found me quickly. I just found this site when I was looking for some bicycle something or another and noticed the soap group. I would be happy to make soap with you anytime - I have most everything - except the lye. Probably will mail order it. Now I am finding much more in the site that I am interested. Thanks for paying attention! Love the music. We just saw Susan Tedeschi and the Taos Solar Music Festival.
