p.s.
I'm also writing a book about contract archaeology in the SW if you ever want to pontificate on the topic.

Thank you for your comment. You have the true conservitive values that Albuquerque needs. However think of how much water we flush down our toilets. Will you be my friend? :-)

thank you so much for the info on alameda pueblo--i was being obnoxious with the stephen king reference...sorry about that...

i love info about the archaeology of the region, particularly how it relates to native/indigenous cultures. i worked at the maxwell museum of anthropology many years back assisting the return of NAGPRA related items (mainly skulls). in that case, as in many others around the world, land was purchased by private individuals who kept what they found--namely bodies that had been buried by indigenous people. i guess that was kosher 100 years ago from a legal standpoint but ethically it doesn't fly today....

anyway, thanks so much for the info about alameda pueblo!

In Tucson, I did field work for SRI and Desert Archaeology...I really liked working for both those companies.

hi there - thanks for the info on the white doves. You're an archaeologist, huh? I worked in the contract world from 1996-2001, here and in Tucson.

There were a lot of people there. It was a good show. I have been going to the Stove for most of my shows lately. I have no idea when the LP will open back up. The date keeps getting pushed back. A friend in the fire marshal’s office told me they have to install an entire sprinkler system and few other mods before they open. *

Any good shows this summer that you heard of? I don't know if it's because the LP is closed, but this summer is not looking too good to me. What did you think of the Malkmus show?

You weren't a pain about it at all.

A couple of hours later, I'm driving up to TJ's and I realised that I wrote Mongomery instead of Paseo del Norte in my post. I thought, well that was a stupid thing to do and hoped that a nice person would catch my mistake.

Someone nice did.
