Profile

Where I Live:
Right in Town
About Me:
I work in the non-profit education world. I like being active, love to hike, and in general, be outside. I like indie film, have 2 cats and 1 uber dog, throwing Frisbee, birdwatching, hanging clothes outside, yoga, spontaneous invitations to dinner, and camping. I want to learn more about beekeeping.
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
Paul Bunyan statues, 20 minutes to the foothills, green chile on anything!, my neighborhood, pistachio gelato
Relationship Status:
Single
What I'm Reading:
Adbusters, Pigs in Heaven, Three Cups of Tea. My most recent favorite: Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri. I hear Omnivore's Dilemma is a must read. Thoughts?
What I'm Listening To:
Mostly, my squeaky swampcooler. For music, there's Bruce Cockburn, Be Good Tanyas, Boot Liquor online, roots & Americana tunes, public radio, world music, bluegrass. Love the theme from Soul Train. Other times I like to listen to the sounds in my neighborhood, the rain or just quiet.

Me with my big sistas!

Civic Cinema?

I was trying to get online info. about the Summer series films on Civic Plaza (Civic Cinema?) earlier today, with no avail. The one website that seemed to have some basic info. gave me the message that the website was at capacity with visitors at that time. I am perplexed as to why this event isn't publicized more. Last year I went to 4 of the 5 free films on Civic Plaza--and on the first film night, there were literally about 30 people who showed up to watch, while hundreds of chairs sat empty.… Continue

Allergies Aplenty

Tis the season to be sneezing. And itching. Last year around this time, I started going to an acupuncturist for my allergies. It seemed to help. A coworker and friend of mine swears that tumeric, in powder form, mixed with ghee and water really does the trick. I'm wondering about bee pollen as well. If you have any advice to share about natural, non-chemical, non-costly things that work for your a… Continue

Hey Kiki... a little bit of work, knocked down three walls, redid all the electrical, plumbing, sewer, new service, kitchen, bath, floors.... haven't gotten onto the next phases.. the front yard is...well... tolerable. I got trees in...there were none, so since they take forever to establish I figured start as early as possible.

hmm the music. So in the html script you can designate autostart, manual start, random play, etc... Just use a pre-fab jukebox. there are many available on line. you select the playlist they give you the script.

I hope that helps. -R
