But the lens (or filter) can be causing the softness. "

Sorry I missed your note. The lens is the 28-135 IS. Some have suggested that it is a so-so lens. Not sure

There's a Go! Arts Festival Group that I started, so that's a good start. If you're interested, maybe we could do something for at the Agency. I'm still putting those details together... have Becca give you my phone number and give me a call sometime.
