Pro's Ranch Market Grand Opening Line is Too Long

Since I had the day off anyway, I went to the grand opening of Pro's Ranch Market. I got there 15 minutes before the opening and it was already insane! There were essentially no parking spots anywhere (and it is a HUGE parking lot). Then the line went all the way from… Continue

Hey, thanks for the kind words on the ol' cottonwood. Being new parents you can probably relate to a sense of relief that the hazard is now gone from the backyard. A couple years ago it was easier to roll our dice a bit, but with our 2-year-old playing out there every day, we definitely looked at that tree with a different sense of danger! Our plan was to take it down this fall after enjoying it one last summer, but it forced our hand. Like you, I think our vegetable garden will actually enjoy more sun. I'm planning a trellis with wisteria...we'll see!

Wow, just noticed I replied to you on my own page yesterday. Pregnancy-brain takes over completely. Just came from the hospital and everything is still just fine and they still want me to wait until early tomorrow morning, so...phooey. Perhaps we'll take another walk once it cools down this evening. Thanks for the good wishes. I'll let you know how he comes out!

The nonstress test was all good--healthy baby, good heart rate, plenty of amniotic fluid, etc. Still, the new rule, apparently (at least at this hospital and with this doc) is not to let babies stay ensconced for more than 41 weeks. So I have a scheduled induction for Weds morning that will occur if he doesn't make an appearance by then. Meanwhile, nesting and eating and eating and nesting. :)

Hey thanks for the friend request. I am slowly but surely gaining more friends through DCF.

Even as I type this I am still pregnant, yes! Going in for a non-stress test at the end of the week, and the doc hinted that she may not release me afterward, so we'll see. It's getting closer, anyway. :)

Thanks for the warning on the crowd. I saw those pictures too but our kids are out of town so it won't be so bad for us especially since we are expecting the worst. We stopped by last night after my game and everything was wrapping up so we just peeked inside. I have never been this exicted for a business in Albuquerque.

Hey E and G! did you happen to make to the pre grand opening for Pro's? I was bummed that I couldn't go. I had a soccer game in the heights.

Eck and Grumb,
so good to run into you again. Looks like we have similar interests and a few Duke City peeps in common.

We'll be at UNMH. I'm trying to hold off until I'm caught up at work, though, so no medical or other types of induction methods are being employed at present.

Hey, thanks for your note! Yes, still pregnant. :) Not sure how much longer it'll be given that I'm having all kinds of strange (to me, because it's my first) signs & symptoms. But it's been a fairly healthy ride so far, so I'm expecting that all will continue to go well. I'll let you know! :) BTW, I love the photo of your girl. What soulful eyes she has there!
