There's More To That Red Light Camera Than A Ticket

Recently I was involved in a spirited debate about the validity of red light cameras here in Albuquerque. Many involved were coming from the perspective of road safety and their personal experiences on the roads of Albuquerque. Some stated that they wished they were on every corner, others stated that their experience with an expensive ticket had taught them to drive more carefully... or at least drive more carefully when going through an intersection with a camera. What I thought was being miss… Continue

FOAT Meeting Akin to the Current Journalistic Landscape

The Friends of the Albuquerque Tribune met on Thursday to discuss possibilities of salvaging the 86 year old Albuquerque daily. The meeting itself seemed to mirror the changing media landscape and the obstacles and opportunities that arise when a demographic is faced with a regional media monopoly. The overwhelming majority of the audience was over the age of fifty. One woman quipped towards the end of the meeting "Lets face it, the majority of us here are tired activists". Her statement spurred… Continue

Pups generally will bite for attention and it sounds like this guy is not getting enough of that especially if it is chained in the back yard and isolated. I would definitely recommend re-homing it.
If they are not able to commit to a one hour walk, continual socialization, and mental stimulation on a daily basis then it is the humane thing to do to find another home where they are able to provide this.
Believe me, I know how much time raising a puppy takes. It can make a person crazy. I cannot imagine having to contend with a pup AND kids. :)
Let me know how it turns out. If she does want to commit to training, I know several great places.

Good to hear your post too. I'm glad you brought that up - it gives people a little bit of a history of our "homeland" - that they may not know already.

There's not a day that I think about going back to ABQ. I know it'll happen sometime - that's where my real roots are.

I think New Mexico overall is one of the most beautiful places in North America, if not the world. To me, it's one of those historically and culturally unique regions of the US.

I was away on business that week and only read about it afterwards. With all the crime in this city, I'm amazed at the amount of police involvement against any war protests - including a lot of infiltration by the police into the protest movement. I remember going to a neighborhood association and listening to Kari Brandenburg describe how she fired a public defender who was granted permission to attend a peace rally downtown, but recognized some undercover cops who had infiltrated the rally. Talk about a stand-up boss!
I've been trying to find proof that White was involved, but haven't found any yet - it might be ABQ police, although I seemed to remember the sheriff dept being involved because the police didn't have id. Stay tuned!
Here's an interesting link to the event:

I didn't think you were being disrespectful in the radio station conversation but you might have been a little harsh. I don't think it deserved a warning.

Keep or toss, your choice.
