What happened to the VP discussions? 22 Replies

They seem to have disappeared, some members are missing and there's a new discussion about policies for removing members. Was the political talk too hot for DCF? I'm a little weirded out!

Reliable gym and mechanic 17 Replies

So I'm shopping around for a good gym and a good mechanic. Any thoughts? Be nice if they were right next to each other but I'm not holding my breath.

My Personal State Fair Survival Guide

There's a reason I don't go to very many first run movies and when I do, I go to the matinee. There is no matinee at the state fair. With a $9 adult admission price, I have to choose my days carefully. Right now, the first ever Bluegrass Day on opening Friday looks pretty cool. Local he… Continue

This first event is called “Purchasing Original, Affordable Art" and they want to invite some Duke City Fixers. This event is by invitation only, and Fixers are invited. The seminar will cover many aspects of art buying, from casual purchasing to serious collecting. Beginners are welco… Continue

Jason Daskalos goes to JAIL

No one wants anyone to GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL without passing GO but occasionally there is someone going there who might just be deserving of some 'downtime' or shall we say a retreat of sorts. Albuquerque developer and man-in-the-news, Jason Daskalos, will go to jail for TWO DAYS. 13 of his vehicles will get the boot for a time. Here's a link to the full KOB News 4 Daskalos story Continue

Act Fast: Chamber Conducting Online Business Poll re Arena

So the Chamber has just sent out a link to an online poll about the proposed downtown arena. Want to get your 2 cents in there? Act fast -- "short" suggests both limited number of questions and limited respondents to me. A short on-line survey is being conducted on behalf of the… Continue

Neil Young's "Albuquerque"

With the change in seasons, I found myself listening once again to this old Neil Young tune and contemplating the crossroad's nature of our fair burg. It is fun to travel beyond 'burque and always good to return again with new perspectives. Too bad Neil didn't ask the red or green question back in the day; apparently fried eggs and country ham were more to his liking. Albuquerque by Neil Young Well, they say that Santa Fe Is less than ninety miles away, And I got time to r… Continue
