No really, don't change a thing! Except maybe your photo.

Yeah. So the headline pretty much sums it up for me. Anyone looking to change their profile photo because it's currently a picture of Bill Gates, Bill Richardson, Don Schrader, or a grey silhouette should visit this post for advice. And also see my detailed comment below.

Its not if he (Don) is or isn't- the same question is still being asked about Jesus too. He represents such specific ideology, also like Jesus. I wouldn't want to be strongly associated with either of them,

As for ow they are different, its a status thing. And an iconographic representation of a big business (the church), not a pic of the actual Jesus. Don is surely a local icon, but he is still a person too. And a member of the same community (the duke city) us DCFers are part of.

As for Bleve, I am guessing she has no religious fervor within. She'll undoubtedly correct me if I am wrong.

Don is one of the freest individuals I have ever met. Perhaps we should be associated with him?

If its cool with him!

Maybe we should both get back to work..... :)

yeah....
bleve is actually a man... who happens to have deep spiritual fervor within as opposed to a wearing a religious affiliation on my sleeve. My icon represents, for me, the power that art has to challenge norms and make people think. I'm indeed a fan of the Bible... and recommend that people read all the great books from all the major religions.

what's so funny about mistaken gender, random spiritual musings, don schrader, iconic representations of jesus and the role of art in challenging norms... oh wait... we sound crazy! Something right out of a bad shroom trip at a Phish show when you don't really like Phish. Not that that has ever happened to me.

I went to school with Don Schrader and I would love to see the documentary wen you get it done. I do believe that Don is very serious about his philosophies and stands. It takes a lot of fortitude to live that far beyond the level of poverty as a statement against government policies

I have to agree with you. I have known Don for a number of years. I know he was disturbed by the inaccuracies in the unauthorized Wikipedia page on him and when a text version of his hand written auto biographical response was removed it was very disappointing.

I know Wikipedia has removed all of Don Schrader from it's pages as of this writing. It even blocked the Internet Archive from preserving the information. Don probably is not upset by it, I will have to ask him the next time I see him.
