Ages ago I did a post about my favorite local culinary guilty pleasures. It included Cesar's, Blake's, and Golden Pride. But I'm feeling a little bit burnt out on my old standbys.
Where do you go for some unhealthy food therapy?
Small update: Here's the old post, Self-Destructive Eating in the Land of Queso, which also mentions Powdrell's, the Dog House, Thai House, Griff's, 2 Fools, Los Cuates, and Frontier.
Would Taco Tote count? When it first opened I jammed on that stuff... but the last time i went (6 months ago?) it had devolved into just a spent, greasy pile of (insert menu item here; beef, chicken, shrimp, etc.). The concept is still brilliant even if the execution is subpar, and the Horchata rocks, tambien.
One last one- the chocolate bakery and cafe at the corner of monta vista and girard- chocolate pancakes. I end up getting these a couple times a month for my wife.

i used to get a bucket of fried chicken from dinah's in LA; a kind of meal my boss called a "lonely-guy meal."
where's good fried chicken to be had here btw?
i second brendan's call of western-style hashbrowns, but i like them with that hot ranchero sauce or whatever they call that stuff in the bubbling cauldrons.

Will I be tarred and feathered if I say: most traditional NM dishes with "cheese" and "platter" in their name?
I'm thinking the "cheese enchilada (3) platter" at Los Cuates.
Kitson, hilarious, when i logged on and saw this post, the voice inside said that someone would nominate me and yes, thank you brendan, i will accept the nomination and thanks for including the middle initial, i love you guys!!!!
I'm unhealthily obsessed with Dog House. I consistently order a foot long with chile, cheese, onions, extra red on the side, and a large basket of tater tots. I then furtively eat them all at my desk and try to kid myself that A) I'll earn it by tacking 19 extra miles onto my evening bike commute and that B) I won't regret the meal the next morning
