I'm Voting Democrat

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better
job of spending the money I earn than I would.

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as
nobody is offended by it.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the
bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're
good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if
it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt
away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the slaughter of
millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be
allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and
give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see
fit.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four pointy headed
elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to
suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the
voters.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don't
have to hide from us over there, and they come over here I don't want
to have any guns in the house to fight them off with.

I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry
whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on
a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon
of gas at 15% isn't.

Well, the Gulf Coast Commercial fishermen Ass. I think that I'm close to the name-I know it has those words in it held a chile recipe contest for the best chile-they have their own newspaper. We sent them the basic South Valley recipe without beans and a bag of chili powder. The cooks and judges were from Texas, Lousiana, and Mississippi. The association did their own cooking to test the recipes. First prize was all day charter fishing in Corpus Christi. Different people like different foods and taste. People in the same family like or don't like the food that's served. Some will eat it and others won't. Then the next night the father doesn't like the food and the kids do.
I really enjoyed that fishing trip. I guess that Cajuns enjoy hot food. Most Texans I knew put in chile pequins to get the chile hot.
Since cars weren't much of a problem during the early 20th century, I think that we can we can rule that and prior centuries out.
My X has a nuclear security clearance for the USN, so we can bring the time line closer to now. I had to pass a security clearance so he could get his. So, it's not like I was robbing banks or mentally incompetent. I worked for IRS this century because I still have the security clearance.
Unless you actually looked at their papers you really don't know and I said that hopefully these laws have changed. We bought our daughter several cars and made the payments while she was at UNM, but they were in her name and her cars. My X just signed the papers.
I'm voting republican because I love the state of the country and I want it to continue.
Then thank the Democratic majority Senate.
Vote for who you want. Just vote, damn it!

I'm not sure who has been kidnapped and held hostage?
Dunno, maybe they are referring the possible smackdown of Condi in New Zealand?

$5000 reward offered for Rice's citizen's arrest, www.stuff.co.nz

$5000 dollar reward is being offered to any Auckland University student who can make a successful citizen's arrest of United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during her visit to the country this weekend.

Auckland University Student Association (AUSA) president David Do said the arrest would be for her role in "overseeing the illegal invasion and continued occupation" of Iraq.

"It is hard enough living as a student in Auckland these days without having a war criminal coming to town, so we thought we'd give our students a chance to make a dent in their student loans and work for global justice at the same time."

Dr Rice will be in Auckland on July 26, where she will meet with Prime Minister Helen Clark, Foreign Minister Winston Peters and Opposition leader John Key.

She will make her first trip to New Zealand after attending a meeting of the Asean Regional Forum this week in Singapore.

Sorry, I had to share this!

Where's her shopping bag of shoes?
I was a Democrat in college - what a surprise? Then I became a Republican. Got bored with that party. Checked out the Dems again and was equally bored. Registered as "unaffiliated" 4 years ago and it has been wonderful. Nothing is better than sitting up in the grand stands watching the two teams beat each other up on the playing field. From this perspective you can see the similarities between the two parties. Frankly, I have more choices at the store when buying milk than I do with this country's political system.

I wonder if both parties will set a new record for money spent in a presidential campaign. Combined, didn't they both spend $500,000,000 last time? And the country is still split in two even today?

I do get a giggle out of the campaign slogans this time. Geesh, if you live long enough you see everything come around again. I didn't believe that in my twenties and thirties but today.... my parents were right. Jimmy C ran on many of the same platforms/promises back in '76. Those were a fun four years after he was elected. Now Obamas believers are falling all over themselves about the potential he brings. For what REALLY I wonder. God, I hope I'm wrong and things turn out for the best.

And we have this old Vietnam vet. Who the heck in the Republican party thought this guy was a winner. Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result? Why does the GOP never seem to give us an exciting candidate?

So, again, we get to choose between the least of two sub par candidates. It's as if the car is permanently stuck in 1st gear and has been for decades. Oh well, I don't have kids. If I'm lucky I might be around for another 40 years. With all of the pollution I've breathed in out in California - probabaly less. I hope that there ISN'T reincarnation. Who wants to be recycled back down to this planet?
