Eclipse-spawned Entrepreneurs featured on Perfect Business and YouTube

Cyrus Sigari and Ben Marcus, co-founded JetAVIVA after serving as design engineers and jet salesmen for Eclipse Aviation in Albuquerque. JetAVIVA is headquartered at the Van Nuys Airport in greater Los Angeles, the third busiest general aviation airport in the world. Cyrus and Ben fly to Eclipse in ABQ often, bringing their entrepreneurial sizzle back with them when they do.

Sigari, 26, a former engineer and salesperson for Eclipse Aviation [in ABQ], manufacturer of the Eclipse 500 very light jet, said he always knew he'd own his own aviation company, but not without Marcus, 26, who has been his best friend since childhood. Today, Sigari, president, and Marcus, CEO, own jetAVIVA [Jet for Life], which is owned by Lan Tien Ventures, LLC, a company privately owned by Sigari and Marcus. Sigari says jetAVIVA, which recently launched service at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in California, next door to Eclipse's service center, also a tenant of Castle & Cooke Aviation, "is the world's first VLJ management company for EA500 private aircraft owners."

During Sigari's first interview, he tells CharterX Industry Headline News that a lot of Eclipse orders for its jet comes from private owners, many of which he contends aren't pilots.

"Our company [also in Florida] provides everything--pilots, flight planning, dispatching and pre-delivery acceptance on behalf of EA500 owners," he said. "In fact, since we started offering the acceptance service we've accepted 75 percent of all Eclipse jets on behalf of private owners. We started providing the service on serial number 19."

He said Eclipse has referred a couple of clients to the new company.

"Ben and I went to high school [in Los Angeles] and then college together [at Purdue]; later we both worked for Eclipse in the early days," Sigari said. ‘Unlike me, Ben started out as a salesperson and then became a flight test engineer for Eclipse; he's type rated in the EA500. Ben is the CEO as he deals with the day-to-day operations of jetAVIVA. I'm the people person-- president; I like dealing with customers, sales and expanding our operations. This is a perfect blending of management."

Sigari said he and Marcus have saved their money since childhood--vowing they'd own an aviation company together.
