Got restaurant tips? Favorite eateries? Good experiences? Bad ones? Share it here.
I hate to say it, but that's probably a pretty average price for that sort of work. I had a cat in a similar situation and it ran at least that much. They have to put the cat under - hence the blood work to see if they're healthy enough to go unde...

That's what happens when you have to rearrange the letters to accommodate the speed of typists on old-fashioned typewriters, placing the "d" key next to the "s" key and then stick with the outmoded arrangement on computer keyboards. Does spell che...

I know you're thinking, "Gosh, Edith, there are so many things going on this weekend." Nels Andrews and the Handsome Family are playing at the Old Town Gazebo on Friday night, the neighbors are hosting a grill-out, the New Mexico Arts and Craft Fair is cranking up. But it's time to get… Continue

Oasis in the San Pedro Wilderness

Here's another one for the day trip file. When the heat edges up towards 90 in our fair city, I start gazing toward the mountains. Altitude = cooler temperatures. A mountain meadow, babbling brook and carpets of wildflowers are waiting for you around San Gregorio Lake in the… Continue

From London With Love

Hello Albuquerque,

I miss you. It's lovely weather here in the London spring. In the mid-60s with the sun breaking through in the afternoons. I know you're pushing into the 90s and that my long suffering house sitter underwent all the usual and unusual tribulations that it takes to ge… Continue

4 Places to Regain Your Sense of Beauty in New Mexico

We've all had those times when the earth seems to be spinning a little slower on its axis. When the wind kicks you around just a bit too much. It could be family issues, people issues or just really lousy traffic on your way to the grocery store.

When I have those sort of days/weeks/mon… Continue

Move Over, Zoolander

With an Albuquerque contestant on this season's Next Top Model, hopes are running high in the Duke City for the new round of auditioners. We had to hoof it out to the West Side this past Tuesday to get in on the action. My own hopes were cruelly dashed by the age limit. Let me know when America's Next Top Model: Thirtysomething Edition starts up.… Continue

Thanks for letting me know. I realize the pictures we use are usually out of our current time loop - but I've always really liked your haircut as shown in your pic!

Edith, I am just curious - Did you dine at Jennifer James on Saturday night June 20? It's hard to tell from these avatar photos but someone seated near me looked at lot like your picture.

My meal, as a matter of fact, was so spectacular I was almost embarrassed by my good fortune to be eating there.

I've made you (along with a number of other musically connected people) an administrator in the Music Lounge group. I figured since I'm not very active, I might as well pass the torch to people who are.

I'm definitely getting Okami. I played it on the PS2 and it's just a gorgeous game. There were times where I would just sit still in that game and look at the scenery...

We should definitely get Rock Band 2 and play it online someday.

I heard good things about No More Heroes. And of course there's always Zelda...

How's it going? Long time no see.

I finally got a Wii after hemming and hawing forever about it. Do you have Rock Band 2? Wii Sports is great but my arms hurt like hell now.

Later,

Edith - hi! I just wanted to let you know that today marks three weeks since Pam and I left California. It's been busy but fun. We hope to have the house done and NM license plates on our car within 3 weeks.

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good to be home. Can't wait to get on a normal schedule in a few weeks as well.

I hope you're doing well, too!

OK. I see. They are called soda syphons on ebay. I see a couple of vintage ones, but nothing like the two-partition thingy.
