Albuquerque Gallery Map

This map shows all of the Albuquerque galleries that I could think of but it's nowhere near complete. I've left it open for editing by anyone so if you see an error or omission, go ahead and fix it! Here's how:
*Click on ‘view larger map’
*Pick ‘search the map’ to enter an address or ‘find a business’ to enter a business name.
*When you see the correct address or business click ‘save to my map’ then ‘save’ at the prompts.

What: Nature's Creativity as the Artist's Template

In just one morning you will learn to identify the energetic function of natural form in nature's patterns, how to match pattern and shape appropriately to your creative work's message, and how symbolic messaging transcends cultural and language barriers.

If you want to know more about how to effectively communicate your visual message, this is the workshop for you! A booklet of supporting handouts will help you remember what you learn.

Who: Maggie Macnab, nationally and internationally recognized designer, speaker, educator and author, illuminates the energetic significance of nature's design in pattern and shape and its relationship to communicating visual concepts effectively and creatively.

When: Saturday, July 18, 2009, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Where: Arts Alliance Gallery
1100 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Suite 10, in The Courtyard Shopping Center (Lomas and San Mateo)

Cost: $35 per person, includes refreshments and handouts

Sign up: Call the Arts Alliance at 505-268-1920 or email judy@abqarts.org

Image transfer to tile for proposed mural.

I'm working on a mural one of our local tribes. Is there a local business that can tranfer a 4'x8' image onto glazed tile? Possibly 3" tiles?

-Hi, I'd like to take a moment and thank everybody who has supported us and helped us move from being a group of broke artists with a vagabond artshow to a group of broke artists with a venue!-

Yes, Josh Jones, Alistar McCray, Mia Jumbo, and Evan Moore have pulled together to provide a space for art, expression, music, theatre, and belligerent expressions of highly-adultered love!

"I wanted to provide an alternative art venue to New Mexico artists while finally giving my nomadic art show a permanent home," said Josh Jones, Black Market Goods founder. "Here we can put down some roots and provide a solid place for people to find us."
