Here is a link to the Watermelon Mountain Pony Club website. The pony club is for riders 21 and under, but they host activities and competitions that are open to everyone. They promote good horsemanship and sportsmanship.

The New Mexico Dressage Association hosts recognized and schooling shows in the Albuquerque area. There is a page with a list of local trainers. (Katy Lindberg is my favorite dressage trainer in the area.) Visit this site for more info on dressage in our area.

And please visit my own website. I raise Connemara ponies and I board horses at my facility. I also teach riding lessons.

Jill, I know there is a barn off of Paseo del Norte and Rio Grande and I believe the lady does dressage. Her arena is a dressage arena, anyway. She does not advertise at all so you just have to drive to her property and hope to catch her. You can't miss it, it's right next to Paseo and you access it off of Rio Grande. There are other barns on Rio Grande but none of the ones I know of do dressage.

There is another place in the south valley called Horses Unlimited. They specialize in Warmbloods and are heavy into dressage. Not sure if they offer lessons but they might be able to give you the info for a few places that do. Good luck.

Hi! I use to ride when I was younger and really want to start again. I just moved here... does anyone know of a good stable I could take lessons? I'd probably like to do dressage. Thanks!
